While there are plenty of people out there who are growing beards during their time in coronavirus quarantine, Kate Middleton’s brother James is doing quite the opposite. In fact, the handsome chap decided to shave his beard, much to the surprise, shock but also delight of his social media fans. Here’s what he has to say.
While James’ Instagram post is most filled with updates of his dog, he decided to do something a little different this week. The last time that James sported a clean-shaved appearance, Kate Middleton’s children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis weren’t even born yet. That’s why he decided to take a razor to his face and do something about it! He also wanted to give his fiancé Alizee Thevent an opportunity to see his ‘real face’ behind his beart. James captioned his video with, “It’s been 7 years since I last shaved so I decided to surprise Alizee….”

Of course, it didn’t take very long for social media fans to respond to James’ new ‘look.’ Some even said that he looks like a totally different person without his beard. Many comments have included, “Bro, the same thing happened with my wife! I shaved once and she didn’t recognize me! Worst of all, our pity-girl, Avery, barked ferociously at me the first time I came in the house!” along with, “Noooo! Not the beard!!! At least it seems she likes it everything my partner shaves, I stop talking to him until it grows back.”
Another fan wrote, “How cute is this!!!! And her reaction is priceless. Even though I thought with a beard you bore a strong resemblance to king George V! Stay safe!”
