British Royal Family News says that one royal author is lashing out at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s critics, calling them ‘morons.’ Here’s what you need to know.
Omid Scobie, who co-wrote the book, Finding Freedom: Harry, Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, has dismissed his critics in a tweet that suggests all of the nay-sayers out there should focus more of their energy on someone like Prince Andrew than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
As many fans know, Prince Andrew has supposedly been in hiding as he is trying to avoid the press – and perhaps even the Department of Justice – now that Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged madame Ghislaine Maxwell is behind bars.

“Would love to occasionally see the tears and energy these morons spend on a non-working royal used on Prince Andrew’s horrendous mess,” the author tweeted Saturday.
He added: “Or is there nothing worse than a woman of colour with a voice?”
Meanwhile, Omid suggests that Meghan’s differences were weaponized against her by the British press. While there certainly was a lot of interest about her, where she was from and who she was, it didn’t take very long for the tabloid media to attack her simply because she wasn’t British.
He told The Cut in an interview, “Ultimately, it was her differences that were weaponized against her. All the things that made her exciting at the beginning were suddenly the things that made her annoying or problematic for the institution. Many within the royal press core are the gatekeepers to information about members of the royal family. And that’s why, often, we find that the narrative set by certain British tabloids sets the tone for the rest of a royal’s working career. But I think what was more worrying was that I noticed that a lot of the stories that painted her in such a light were often coming from within the palace itself.”
