Kate Middleton has invited child survivors of the Southport stabbings to her annual Christmas carol concert, which will take place on December 6th this year.

Kate Middleton And Prince William Met With The Victims And Their Families

In July, a 17-year-old targeted children at a dance workshop and stabbed ten people, including eight children, in Southport, Merseyside, in the UK. Sadly, three children were killed. Bebe King, age six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, age seven, and Alice Dasilva, age nine, died in the attack.

Axel Rudakubana of Banks in Lancashire is charged with three counts of murder and the attempted killing of eight other children, dance teacher Leanne Lucas, and businessman John Hayes.

The killings provoked large-scale riots triggered by misinformation on social media in cities and towns throughout Britain. The violence was sparked by false claims about the identity of the teenage suspect, charged with murder.

In October, the Princess made a surprise visit with her husband, Prince William, to meet the victims who survived the horrific incident and their families.

They also spent time with the dance teacher, who was seriously injured as a result of trying to protect the children as she shielded them from harm. The couple also met with the first responders, who were called to the scene.

Their meeting with them was kept completely private and wasn’t announced until the Prince and Princess of Wales left. They desired to stay as discreet as possible out of deference for those affected by the attack.

This Year Marks The Fourth Time The Princess Hosts Together At Christmas Carol Service

Kate’s Christmas carol concert is part of her gradual return to public duties since her cancer diagnosis and treatment. The service will include other members of the royal family and select invitees.

Those invited to the service include people who have given support, either on a personal level with family and friends or through their volunteer work.

King Charles, Queen Camilla, and William are all expected to attend. A decision will soon be determined whether Princes George, Louis, and Princess Charlotte will be there. Last year, Kate and William’s children, Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael, and her sister Pippa all came.

The event will be filmed and broadcast on Christmas Eve as part of a special program on ITV1 and ITVX. The carol service is sponsored by the Royal Foundation, a charity organization of which the Prince and Princess are patrons.

The concert will take place at Westminster Abbey in London and feature musical acts by Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean, and Gregory Porter.

    The palace revealed.

“The service will shine a light on individuals from all over the UK who have shown love, kindness, and empathy towards others in their communities,”

This year marks the fourth annual occasion Kate has hosted the Together at Christmas carol service. The event is expected to be a special family event.

Each year, the concert has a theme, and this year, the festive service will reflect on how we need each other, especially when life is complicated.

    The palace added,

“This year, her Royal Highness wanted to celebrate the many people supporting those in need, individuals who have inspired, counseled, comforted, and, above all else, have shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive.”
