A British citizen has declared his lack of trust in law enforcement after a Ukrainian refugee he invited into his home was let go without any charges being filed, and was allowed to stay somewhere else despite claims he was sexually harassed in his bedroom by the refugee.

The 34-year-old Birmingham resident expressed his anger after law enforcement neglected to look into the markings on his arms, legs, and buttocks that occurred after a suspected assault at his home.

The host’s partner was taken aback when West Midlands Police determined that there was not enough proof to proceed, and they did not even make an attempt to acquire any DNA proof.

At first, the government declined to disclose the refugee’s new location and whether the family he was staying with was informed of the accusation made against him, causing fear that he could attack another host without them being aware.

The local government expressed their regret for the distress this created. With that being said, the victim has been left traumatised by the incident. His following comments confirmed as much: “They wouldn’t even tell me if he was in the local area.

“Luckily we took the house key from his things before he left, but there is no restraining order in place to stop him from turning up.” The alarming news has arrived as the continuation of the ‘Homes for Ukraine scheme’, which has opened its doors to more than 140,000 Ukrainians in Britain, is becoming more and more difficult.

Problems within the programme have been happening often, with host families having disputes with their visitors due to the huge cultural differences between them. Not only that, but numerous British citizens were deprived of their £350 compensation, which was promised by the Government for each refugee family that was accepted.

It is fair to say that this policy does need revising. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
