Early last year, Jamella and Piers got into a vicious Twitter feud over Caroline Flack, the British Love Island host who died by suicide. Piers published old messages that Flack had allegedly sent to him last year, in which she agonized that Jamil was “aiming hate” at her.

British Actress Jameela Jamil Says She Almost Killed Herself Over Piers Morgan’s Bullying
Sharing a screenshot of Caroline’s old messages, Piers tweeted to the world, “Jameela Jamil is having a lot to say about online harassment, so in the interests of balance, here is a message Caroline Flack sent me last October after the same Jameela Jamil led an online pile-on against her regarding a new TV show she was doing.”
Jameela attacked Piers back by writing, “Piers using a dead woman who I was friends with, as a weapon to try to create further harassment for me as I’ve JUST explained publicly that last week I felt suicidal… is why he is this industry’s most problematic. My criticizing a *show* did not aim any hate at Caroline.”
Piers responded with, “Delighted to see Jameela Jamil has miraculously found the strength from her myriad afflictions to brand me a ‘bullying parasite.’ This is such a valuable contribution to the #BeKind movement & I wish her well with her continued recovery from Hypocritical Twerp Syndrome.”
And now Jameela says that Piers’ actions caused her to have suicidal thoughts herself. She tweeted this week, “I almost killed myself a year ago because of Piers Morgan’s relentless campaign of lies and hatred against me last February. I’m glad I’m still alive today for many reasons.”
Adding a gif of Piers Morgan, she also said, “May we NEVER have to watch minorities have to go on mainstream news and have to *defend* their right to be treated with dignity and respect… ever again. All while being screamed over by this man. @GMB.”
