Bring the yellow suit. There are a ton of rumors circulating the internet these days. With the Marvel Cinematic Universe looking to explore the multiverse and reportedly wanting to bring in previous Spider-Man stars Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield, as well as Jamie Foxx’s Electro, there might be more going on than we know about.
Jackman seemingly walked away from the role with ‘Logan’, the highly praised film that explored the ‘old man Logan’ story and introduced his daughter. He famously said he was getting too old for the role and was going to hang up the adamantium claws. However, it wasn’t long before he even went back on this saying,
“The Avengers would prove too much to turn down,” Jackman back in 2017. “Because I always love the idea of him [Wolverine] within that dynamic, with the Hulk obviously, with Iron Man but there are a lot of smarter people with MBAs who can’t figure that out [laughter]. You never know. At the moment, honestly, if I really did have them there, I probably wouldn’t have said this is the last [about Logan]. It just feels like this is the right time [to leave the character].”

With fellow Marvel star and friend Ryan Reynolds also constantly pressuring Jackman into returning, the ‘Doctor Strange’ sequel could provide the best way to explain his arrival in the MCU. Jackman would blow fans away if he stepped out of a multiverse portal and asked Doctor Strange who the f@#k he was.
With a lot of the other possibilities, like Tom Cruise playing a different version of Iron Man and perhaps even The Fantastic Four making an appearance, it doesn’t seem like anything’s impossible for Marvel and Kevin Feige. In fact, with DC bringing back Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman and their huge crossover television event that saw Brandon Routh as Superman, it just illustrates the fact that if they can do it, Marvel can do it.
