Singer Billie Eilish said that she consumed so much porn as a child that it gave her nightmares and the mental effects of the addiction have now hurt her adult love life.
The 19-year-old singer said this on Monday during SiriusXM’s ‘The Howard Stern Show,’ sharing her experiences with violent porn and how it’s impacted her life. “I think it really destroyed my brain and I feel incredibly devastated that I was exposed to so much porn. I think porn is a disgrace. I used to watch a lot of porn, to be honest. I started watching porn when I was like 11.”
She explained that watching the “abusive” porn not only caused issues in her own love life once she began having sex but believes it caused her to have sleep paralysis and nightmares.

For her love life, she says it’s been difficult being a celebrity and trying to find love. Eilish says that people are either “terrified of you or think that you’re out of their league.”
It was a big thing to admit on a radio show like that and one that may not be well received in today’s society. A society that seems to embrace anything and everything, whether it is detrimental to a person’s psyche or not. Thankfully for Eilish, she seems to be able to speak openly about it and begin trying to move on.
Just last year she thought she would be single for the rest of her life, though she seems to have gotten over that thought. At only 19-years-old, Eilish has plenty of time to find love and continue to recover from her addiction. I wouldn’t be in any rush if I was still 19 and say to just slow down. You still have the rest of your life.
