‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers here and we’re ready to close out the week in style with a final walk through Fairmont Crest.
The episode for Friday, June 13 won’t be as messy as a slasher movie, though we could get some hints of a dark past.
We expected Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon)’s secret to be dark, and it looks like it’s worse than we expected.
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers: Martin’s Haunted by his Past; Ashley’s Worried About Derek’s Intentions
Hearing about the attack on the store owner, he started having flashbacks to vague images he’s dreamed about.
Smitty Smith (Mike Manning) working on a story that seems attached to that night isn’t helping and he’s starting to break down.
Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) and Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin) are at another crossroads. They seek help and guidance from friends they trust, which is good. But they don’t really talk to each other.
When they do, they’re worried they’ll hurt each other and they have to learn to communicate.
So when they’re out to dinner, Derek will try to do everything perfect and it’ll cause Ashley to lock up and things could go sideways in a hurry.
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers for Friday, June 13: Too guilty to hide
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers have been waiting for Martin’s secret to come out, but also what he did.
Going from the glimpses into his dreams and memories, it looks like he beat the stuffing out of some poor soul.
The context is still unclear, but we wonder if he may have been drinking or lost his temper. He seems to not remember exactly what happened, and dealing with an impairment would explain it.
It looks like we’re going to get some more hints as he’ll be tempted to tell his mother, but will he?
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers for Friday, June 13: Can’t get it right
We have a feeling things are going to go so sideways during Derek and Ashley’s dinner there’s no coming back.
Ashley will be scared that Derek will propose or do some huge gesture.
She’s afraid to say anything because Derek will take it as an insult or her being harsh. As for Derek, he puts way too much pressure on himself to impress her and show his love.
They’re great at asking for advice and listening to their friends, but not to each other. There’s a disconnect there and if they can’t figure it out they may want to see a therapist.
It seems odd to mention a therapist without them being married as that’s usually the norm, but it’d make sense.
It’d help them open up and talk with each other and listen and accept what they’re being told.
Baby steps can work, but they can also lead one off a cliff.
Does Martin remember what he did, and will he open up about his past? Let us know in the comments below.
