‘Beyond the Gates’ (BTG) spoilers confirm that the stylish, groundbreaking new sudser that’s been on the air for only the past three months has been renewed for a second season.
‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers: Could We See Bill’s Ego Deflated?
BTG comes on in the plum spot following soap giants The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.
According to Soap Opera Digest, BTG has
“Boosted viewership almost 50 percent over The Talk, which previously aired in that time slot, averaging 1.82 million viewers. The network also revealed that BTG is up 67 percent in multi-platform viewership, which also takes into account fans who stream the soap online at CBS.com and Paramount+.”
The success of BTG proves that soap viewers are a devoted fan base. As long as writers deliver the goods- camp, vamp, catfights, steamy romances. Including all the other classic soap elements mixed with the right formula, soap fans will watch.
Since BTG first aired in February, it has “delivered the goods.” We can’t wait to tune in to watch the fierce and fiery Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) and her sizzling love affair with Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman), or Dana “Leslie” Thomas (Tricia Mann-Grant) and her crazy wigs and manipulative ways. Who could forget that epic slap in the first episode when Dani showed Hayley Lawson Hamilton (Marquita Goings) how Fairmont Crest rolls.
Now, we look forward to an unforgettable second season of BTG. It would be fun to speculate what bombshells BTG writers will come up with next.
What if Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) found out that Dani also strayed while they were married? We can’t quite picture a beautiful, vibrant woman like Dani just playing Stepford wife when her husband is stepping out.
If Bill discovered that Dani had a previous affair while they were married, it would crush his increasingly large ego, which would be worth the reveal.

Also, what if Leslie is really lying about Eva Thomas (Amyr Michelle) being Ted Richardson’s (Keith D. Robinson) daughter? It would certainly fall in line with Leslie’s wackadoo personality. We could see her tampering with the DNA test to implode Ted’s marriage to his faithful, loving wife, Nicole Richardson (Daphnee Duplaix).
Going a step further, what if Eva was really Bill’s daughter? Bill is a low-down, dirty pig who slept with multiple women during his marriage to Dani. It’s possible he could have also hit the sheets with Fairmont’s Crest’s resident loony toon.
Bill and Leslie are a lot alike. Both are selfish and seem to have evil agendas while also being undeniably sleazy. It’s feasible that Bill and Leslie could have had a secret affair while he was married to Dani.
We also know that Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) wants Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) all to himself. If Doug McBride (Jason Graham) ticks him off or fails to pay him the money he owes him, could we see an Indecent Proposal situation happening here? He could offer to erase Doug’s debt for one night of passion with his wife.
Bravo Beyond the Gates and everyone involved who worked so hard to make the soap a success! We strongly suspect the next season will be even bigger, better, and more scandalous as life, love, and lust in Fairmont Crest heat up.
