‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers are loving how things are going and the tidbits we’re being fed.
There are so many dynamics at work as we’re being introduced to more of the 40 total characters on the show.
With so many characters and diverse backstories there are so many possibilities for awesome storylines.
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers: Bill Flexes his Muscles as the Big Bad; Peaceful Protest Role Reversal
With secrets and more still to be uncovered, we’ve been treated to the first main storyline focusing on Dani Dupree (Karla Mosely) and Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett).
After years of marriage, Bill cheated on Dani with her daughter’s friend Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings), whom he’s now engaged to.
But that’s only the beginning as Bill has quickly taken over the role as the show’s main big bad.

‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers love the angle with Bill as it looks like he’s behind every decision meant to torment the Dupree family.
We think he’s the one that wanted to move behind the Gates and into the community Dani’s family built. And then to have their wedding in the country club her grandfather built.
In every way, it’s a slap in the face to her, but more importantly to her family. Especially her parents Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie and Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis).
We think he wants to take over and show he’s superior to them, and to do that is by forcing them to attend his and Hayley’s wedding.
His leverage? He helped Martin Richardson (Brandon Clayborn), a congressman and grandson of Anita and Vernon. And now he’s calling in a favor and they have to comply.
This leads us to an interesting swapping of ideas to a point.
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers: Peaceful protesting
The show have give us a great insight into Vernon and his past as he marched for civil rights and believes in peacefully protesting.
The rest of his family isn’t so much in agreement, especially his children and the younger generation.
Dani showed that when she slugged Hayley, though Hayley seemed to be antagonistic.
Now, it looks like she’s trying to make and keep the peace while Bill antagonizes Dani and the Duprees.
She’s not being well received and the family openly blames her for it all. Her attempts to make peace is misguided, but maybe not as much as it appears.
Depending on how we look at it, she can be seen as being the peaceful protestor. The Duprees are the government/machine and Bill is the X factor stirring everything up.
There’s so much more to come, and we love all the different layers. Especially how we can get so much out of the stories and characters.
