Things are going to get interesting on Tuesday, April 22’s episode as there’s going to be some chaos in the Dupree family.
Just another day in the Crest.
Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) will finish her brief return to singing and have a surprise offer waiting for her. We suspect a record exec will be watching and approach her with the chance to record again.
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers: Anita Struggled with an Offer; Dani’s Decision Scrambles Chelsea’s Plans
It’ll be a cool moment, but we think Anita will be scared about going back after roughly forty years out of the business.
While Anita struggles with her fear, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosely) will do her thing and mess up her daughter’s plans.
We have a feeling Dani will make a choice that’ll mess up Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla)’s plans.
This could be just about anything, but we think it’ll probably be going into business with Pamela Cutis (Cady McClain).
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers for Tuesday, April 22:
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers loved seeing Anita taking the stage and recapturing her old glory for a minute.
Though we’re wondering about the time frame. Since Dani is about 47, it’d make sense Anita and Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davies) have been married close to that time.
This would mean she quite her music career in the late 1970s, early 1980s and her music sounded like it was from the early 1990s. Maybe we missed something, but that seemed off.
Still, we give her mad respect for going on stage and singing, but it’s going to get a little rougher for her.
It looks like a record executive will be there, and we think he’ll offer her a new recording deal. Or maybe it’ll be a simple appearance to sing again.
Either way, we doubt she’ll want to take part. She’ll be scared that she’s not as good as she used to be. Seeing Anita insecure is a cool change of pace, and it’ll be fun seeing her navigate this.
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers for Tuesday, April 22: Dani does it again
This has us curious, especially since Dani won’t have any selfish or ill intent in this one. Chelsea will be all set to talk to her, but Dani will have another idea.
We think she’ll decide to go into business with Pamela, and that will wreak havoc on Chelsea’s plans.
It could also be a blessing since she didn’t really want to work with her mom again.
We just don’t like that we won’t get so see some of their back and forths with Dani as an employee. So much potential for fun chaos.
