Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning for their children, Archie and Lilibet, to take on public roles.
The Key Detail Everyone Missed in Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Statement
The key detail everyone seemed to miss in their announcement about the changes to their charitable foundation, Archewell, was in the statement from Meghan’s team.
“After five beautiful years, the Archewell Foundation is becoming Archewell Philanthropies. This charitable entity allows the couple and their children to expand upon their global philanthropic endeavors as a family.”
The inclusion of the Sussex children was the glaring omission. It was the first instance since they were working royals that Harry and Meghan mentioned their kids being involved in their plans.
Sources close to the Duke of Sussex claim that Meghan must have orchestrated the statement made about their children. Harry has insisted for years that he won’t do to his kids what was done to him and his mother, Princess Diana.
He has often referred to his “predetermined role in life” as a royal as too overwhelming and as causing him great pain.
Meghan hasn’t done as well as expected with her Netflix show and her lifestyle brand, As Ever. They want to make money by any means necessary, even if it means using the kids.
Archie and Lilibet Weren’t Originally Supposed to Have Royal Titles
Harry and Meghan aren’t working royals, and in the modern sphere, their kids shouldn’t have titles. There has also been a lot of speculation about them trying to return to their former roles.
Royal expert and Daily Mail editor, Richard Eden, thinks there is an “establishment plot” to bring Harry and Meghan back into the royal fold.
The palace hasn’t pushed back hard enough on them. King Charles’s lack of initiative on this issue has allowed these ideas to continue to grow into a life of their own.
Harry and Meghan claimed that they wanted to give their children as normal a life as possible. Yet, they had a change of heart when they moved to the US.
Following the birth of Lilibet, the Sussexes announced that their daughter would be known as Princess Lilibet and her older brother as Prince Archie.
It’s crazy that Charles continues to ignore what they are doing, especially Meghan. She’s blatantly trying to capitalize on the royal family, and now her kids are a part of it. Harry lets his wife pretty much ruin his reputation with these clearly calculated moves.
Commercial Use of Titles Hurts the Monarchy
Plus, on the same day as the announcement, Meghan posted a photo on social media, along with a Christmas message. It showed the most transparent image we’ve ever seen of Harry and Meghan’s children. Archie was hugging his father as Meghan held Lilibet’s hand.
They also released a picture around Thanksgiving that showed Harry and Meghan with Archie and Lilibet. They were baking cookies at a local charity. The inclusion of their children in photographs started when Meghan began her fruitless effort to make a ton of money off As Ever.
A parliamentary measure should be introduced, but the King needs to make the first move. Prince William would never allow the Sussexes to use their titles for commercial purposes.
It harms the monarchy and damages its reputation, as the late Queen warned the couple. Later this month, a decision will be made on whether Harry and Meghan will be granted taxpayer-funded police security when visiting the UK.
That said, Harry and Meghan are only capable of making decisions that are in their own best interests. The King needs to nip the couple’s consistent commercial use of the monarchy in the bud before it’s too late.
