From Apple TV comes a new comedy series starring the very funny Jason Sudeikis, in which he also serves as the executive producer. He plays the titular character, Ted Lasso, a small-time college football coach from Kansas who is hired to coach a professional soccer team in England. What’s the challenge you may ask? Lasso has absolutely no experience with soccer.
What comes next is a hilarious comedy about an American going over to the United Kingdom and becoming one with the culture. Will Lasso have what it takes to reach the men on the team and feel accepted? Or will he succumb to the pressure and fizzle out? We will have to wait until next month!
Apple TV ‘Ted Lasso’ – Jason Sudeikis Stars As Titular Character
According to a brief summary on IMDB, “The Apple + series follows US American Football coach Ted Lasso heading to the UK to manage a struggling London soccer team in the top flight of English football.” I’m sure we’ll see another trailer or teaser before it’s release next month, so be on the lookout for this great series.
Sudeikis has delivered in just about every role he’s been in and it doesn’t look like this will be any different. You will need an Apple TV subscription to be able to enjoy the show next month, so now would be a great time to hop on!
