Angelina Jolie has been forced to put her career on hold because of all the family drama she has been dealing with these past years. The Hollywood actress recently said that her “family situation” has prevented her from directing. She and Brad Pitt are currently in a nasty custody battle over their six children. Angelina recently told Entertainment Weekly that her ongoing divorce and custody battle with Brad Pitt has gotten in the way of her career aspirations. The ex-couple are parents to Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and 12-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

“I love directing, but I had a change in my family situation that’s not made it possible for me to direct for a few years,”she told the publication.
Angie also said that she has continued to take on shorter jobs in order to keep up with both her career and the demands of her family life.
“I needed to just do shorter jobs and be home more, so I kind of went back to doing a few acting jobs. That’s really the truth of it,” she said.
Late last year, it was reported that Brad Pitt was fighting his ex-wife to get more one-on-one time with his children. The actor wants equal joint custody now, despite the originally custody agreement that the ex-couple agreed on back in November of 2018.
“Brad is asking for 50/50 custody to be put in place and stay in place,” a source told ET Online back in October. “Angelina wants to be fair when it comes to custody. She is very structured with the children. Brad has high hopes [they can] try to make it work because of the importance of co-parenting.”
The tipster continued, “Brad, for the most part, has been respectful of Angelina‘s parenting. While he doesn’t agree with everything, he knows she loves the kids and wants the best for them. He also knows his love and presence are needed.”
The source further states that Pitt has “done everything he can to avoid a court situation” but feels he has been “left with no other choice,” if he wants to be allowed more time with his children.
