Angelina Jolie is back and as many can imagine, she’s better than ever before. The Hollywood actress, who has kept a rather low profile this past year because of the ongoing pandemic that has been the coronavirus, has a new film coming out called Those Who Wish Me Dead.
She recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly to talk about the film and why it was sometimes hard to work with child actor Finn Little. Here’s what she has to say.
While Angie is certainly considered one of the best actresses in the entertainment industry, she couldn’t help but let her maternal side kick in whenever she was with Finn. Yet, that was the exact opposite of what her character Hannah, a brusque, no-nonsense firefighter, was.

She told the publication, “Sometimes Taylor would correct me because my behavior towards a child was different from [Hannah’s] behavior towards a child. It took me a little bit to treat [Little] badly, but I got there!”
And while she hasn’t directed in a while, Angelina says that her newfound skill has changed the way she views acting. “Maybe when you’re younger and you’re having a huge day where you have to be cold and wet and emotional and crying, you’re thinking about those things,” Angelina said.
“Now you’ve directed and you’re older, and you realize that while you are going to be freezing and crying, there’s also pyrotechnics going on, or multiple other situations. It pulls you out of yourself.”
What’s more, Angelina said that she loves that her character is grounded in realism. “There’s nothing about this character that trained in martial arts or did anything special. I get pretty beaten up through this.”
