YouTuber Colleen Ballinger Falls From Grace After Video Of Her Blackface Resurfaces

Colleen Ballinger‘s decline is bringing her to a new low; she is receiving criticism for a previous clip of her singing a Beyoncé song while wearing blackface.

The YouTuber/comedian, best known for creating the internet sensation Miranda Sings, is now again the target of haters who have found an old, questionable video of Colleen singing along to “Single Ladies” while wearing black makeup.

It’s unclear precisely when this occurred, but based on the Miranda Sings YouTube page, it appears to have happened somewhere between 2017 and 2018; despite being an unlisted upload, it is still there. The blackface video, according to some comments, was made available exclusively to anyone who purchased Colleen’s book, “My Diarrhe.”

Her bizarre apology video can be seen below, just titled “hi.”

“I do not condone or support any kind of online bullying or hate towards anyone. ever.”

The reemergence of the video occurs at an intriguing moment because Colleen was just accused of racism in another context with purported messages she sent on her 2016 Netflix series “Haters Back Off.”

The messages, which were sent by a coworker of Colleen’s at the time, were about tryouts they were doing for the program, and the sender claimed Colleen made a joke about a Black actor, purportedly stating, “WHERE IS HE”—referring to the man’s being very dark in poor lighting.

Of course, this current outrage comes on top of recent grooming charges, with many charging that she had inappropriate contact with underage followers. In an odd apologetic video, Colleen addressed the allegations by singing and denying the behavior. It was seen as tone-deaf and ineffective.

Obviously, a blackface movie ridiculing Beyoncé won’t help her either; after all, sponsors have already been dumping her left and right.
