Jennifer Shah, the star of ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ has questioned her ex castmate Jennie Nguyen’s apology in response to her prior social media remarks that were deemed to be racially insensitive.

Jennie, for her part, has since then been fired from the show. Although she recognised that her comments caused backlash, the very fact of the matter is that she defended her ‘Republican’ views.
And now that she is no longer on the show, Jennifer did not hold back on exactly what she thought about the whole saga.
And her main line of contention was disputing Jennie’s claims that she was unsure if she had shared the original posts or whether they were done by somebody from her team.
In a post on Instagram, Jennifer said: “She’s lying and she already admitted to my face she posted each and every one of those disgusting posts HERSELF.
“The fact she brings a Black man on her IG Live just confirms she has not learned nor is she sorry.” If these comments are taken to be true, then it justifies the decision of the network to fire Jennie.
After all, when the news first actually broke, a certain subset of people thought that the punishment was disproportionate.
This was especially since other housewives from the franchise, such as Erika Janye as well as Jennifer herself, had been involved in legal trouble. As such, by not firing them, there was a feeling that a double standard had emerged.
However, Jennifer continued to double down on her beliefs. She added: “This is Performative Slacktivism at its finest. (No Slacktivism wasn’t a typo).
“I hope Jennie can do the real work it will take to grow and change her racist, and islamophobic views.” The response on social media was divisive.
People recognised what Jennie had done, but felt that she should be given an opportunity to work on her faults. One person wrote: “She needs to do the work if she really wants to change. It’s not done overnight.”
