Real Housewives of Orange County Star Shannon Beador is in Even More Trouble with the Law Following DUI and Hit and Run Incident

Real Housewives star Shannon Beador could be in even more trouble with the law after being arrested for drunk driving and a hit-and-run incident while she had her dog, Archie, in the car.

PETA is not happy, to say the least, and neither is the Animal Control Unit of The Newport Beach Police Department. The top animal control officer is investigating the Real Housewives of Orange County star.

“We don’t have animal endangering laws like you would with children. However, we do have animal cruelty laws, so he’s going to look into that further,” says Sergent Steve Oberon.

Lisa Lange, PETA’s senior vice president, said:

“If your dog or child is in a vehicle or even waiting for you at home, that’s an extra incentive never to drive drunk or buzzed, although looking out for strangers and for yourself should already be enough to convince you not to drink and drive.”

Shannon Beador’s DUI and Hit and Run Incident

The police report indicates that Shannon was three sheets to the wind last weekend and drove her car into someone’s home, causing severe property damage. She then promptly drove away.

Ms. Beador is supposedly incredibly sorry for the incident and reportedly wants to seek help for her lack of control over alcohol.

Beador has reportedly been researching treatment centers after her car accident. She also wants to pay for the damages to the house she hit. She claims the accident was a “wake-up call” for her, and she now suddenly realized that she may have a problem with alcohol.

Beador has sought legal aid from her lawyer, Michael Fell, and insists on paying the homeowner to “make things right.”

After the accident, she pulled over, got out of her car, and acted like she was just out walking her dog. When officers arrived at the scene, Shannon appeared extremely intoxicated yet “performed” as if everything were normal.

Real Housewives Shannon Beador Does Damage Control

The police booked Beador on a hit-and-run and a DUI. Shannon must be held accountable for her actions, no matter how sorry she claims to be.

Her apologies and the sudden desire to go to rehab seem to be a calculated PR move. This is an attempt to get back into the public’s good graces after drunkenly clipping a house and leaving the crime scene. It is also a maneuver to try to plead down the charges and avoid harsher punishment.

She decided to get behind the wheel of her vehicle after getting hammered. There should always be consequences for DUI’s and similar crimes.

Not only did she endanger her dog, but she also put innocent people at risk by driving drunk. The good news is that Archie did not appear to be harmed by the accident.

Shannon, on the other hand, was instructed by Bravo that she not be photographed from the front. This situation is because her face sustained injuries from her face hitting the steering wheel in the wreck.

This scenario is not the first time Beador has been called out for her drinking. Beador seems to be a magnet for bad publicity. Hopefully, this time, she learned her lesson.
