WWE News: Have We Seen The Last Of John Cena In WWE?

John Cena was the superstar that carried the WWE on his back for more than ten years, which means it is a little surreal that the company is now a John Cena-free space. Cena hasn’t been seen since WrestleMania where he was included in the Firefly Funhouse match against The Fiend.

His appearances on WWE television have been sporadic over the past couple of years, which begs the question whether he is done with WWE and following other interests. However, could we finally see Cena return at some point in the future?

WWE News: Cena To Return As A Heel

There has always been a strong argument that the WWE should have turned Cena heel at some point during his career, but ultimately it never happened. However, Cena’s return could see him come back as a heel for the first time in his WWE career, after he previously worked with

The Fiend. Every superstar that has worked with The Fiend in the past has changed either from face to heel, or heel to face, and Cena should be no different. His Tweets over the past year have also indicated that there could be something cryptic about his return when it finally comes.

WWE News: Superstars Could Benefit From Cena Return

Regardless of whether he returns as a face or a hell, there are still a huge number of superstars that could potentially benefit from getting the rub of beating Cena. Roman Reigns has already achieved that feat, as has Seth Rollins.

But, superstars such as Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman and various others could further their stock by claiming a win over Cena. The McIntyre feud will certainly be one that will be intriguing as it could also see Cena competing for the chance at creating history by beating Ric Flair’s record of world championships.

WWE News: Cena In NXT

NXT and AEW have been locked in a ratings war since AEW opted to broadcast their live episodes on a Wednesday evening. AEW have enjoyed the lion share of success, which means that NXT could be about to play their trump card of having a bonafide star appear on the show regularly.

Cena could be that man, and there is more than enough talent that he will be able to work with while he is there. Keith Lee, Finn Balor and Tomaso Ciampa could all have engaging stories with Cena.
