Explicit Taylor Swift Deepfake AI Images & R Rated Videos Shock the World, Swift Considers Legal Action As #ProtectTaylor Trends

There’s been a growing use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in any and all creative works lately, and with adds on social media platforms like Instagram promising riches and wealth from book sales increasing, there’s bound to be some backlash sooner or later.

From a creative stand point, it allows anyone to create “art” or “write a book” without doing a thing and has led to reports of graphic artists going out of business, not being allowed to sell their work at conventions, and even authors having their likenesses taken for new AI generated books.

How much of that is being done with an agreement in place is the question, but most of it has flown under the radar.

That is until some AI images of megastar Taylor Swift started circulating online, and these weren’t just any images. Some were really bad jokes and others were a spicy, 18+ adult content type of creations.

And the Swifties went to work and Taylor is reportedly considering legal action.

Making it trend

Under the trending terms #ProtectTaylor, #AI, and #TaylorSwift, X, formerly Twitter, became a firestorm as her fans did everything from rant against people sharing them to reporting anyone sharing them. Others have been pushing to get AI regulated like other artforms.

This is where it gets interesting as this can end up being a good thing if the legislation is handled properly.

With stories of people losing their livelihoods and likenesses to people looking to make quick and easy content and the original creators reportedly unable to do anything about it, this has potential to put a lot of people’s fears to rest.

With the writer’s strike still fresh in a lot of minds and their efforts to prevent AI from taking their jobs, it’s something a lot of people are going to start becoming aware of.

Not the best representatives but it works

While it’s great the Swifties are bringing attention to the issue, it’s cringe worthy to read some of the comments, but it’s the world we live in.

It just took for people to mock a superstar for the issue to reach a boiling point to become a topic for people to discuss, unfortunately, the Swifties don’t have the best reputation.

Superfans are rarely looked at as reliable or worthwhile sources when it comes to going after someone or something for insulting their favorite star, and the cringe worthy comments don’t help with that, especially when many are looking to solely protect Taylor Swift.

But that’s the nature of fandoms and there’s a chance this will spur other people into action to reign in the use of AI before it rips out the heart of creative ventures and leaves us with bland entertainment.
