Love Island News: Lucie Donlan Confirms That She Almost Signed Up For Too Hot To Handle Instead Of ITV Reality Show

Love Island news finds that learned last night that Lucie Donlan almost signed up for Netflix show ‘Too Hot To Handle’. She made the announcement when talking on Instagram during a Q&A session with fans. She was asked whether there was there anything that fans didn’t know about her, and she admitted that she was approached about appearing on the Netflix series that dropped on Friday.

Lucie admitted that she ultimately chose Love Island instead of the Netflix show. The two reality shows have already been compared to each other, but while Love Island is on for a whole month at least, Too Hot To Handle was only made up of eight episodes.

Love Island News: Lucie Still Single Following Split

Lucie may have believed that she found love when she appeared on the 2019 edition of Love Island as she couple up with Joe Garratt. The surfer and the sandwich maker were one of the success stories from the series. Joe was voted off early in the season despite being coupled up with Lucie, but she decided to stay in the villa.

She was eventually voted out after trying to get closer to Tommy Fury, who was coupled up with Molly-Mae Hague. However, when she left the show, she immediately reconnected with Joe as the ITV cameras followed them as they went on a date outside the villa for the very first time. However, the two ultimately broke up, and made the announcement in January this year.

Love Island News: Couple Split Up Earlier This Year

It was revealed that the couple had split earlier this year, with the reason behind their split reportedly down to the fact that they had drifted apart. However, Joe was pictured getting close with 2019 winner Amber Gill at a media event, as fans videoed him embracing her.

Since the break-up, Lucie has been travelling around the world and spent time in Bali at a yoga retreat, as she admitted on a post that the beach is where she ‘needed to be’. It would seem that she made the right decision to agree to appear on Love Island instead on Too Hot To Handle.
