Alyssa Scott has spoken out following the tragic death of her five-month-old son Zen whom she shared with Nick Cannon.

Zen had died shortly after the news that he was suffering from a brain tumour. Although he underwent surgery in order to rectify the problem, the best medical care was sadly not enough to save him.
And that has left Alyssa feeling a whole host of emotions given that she had just welcomed Zen this year, only for him to be taken away from her. In a post to her fans on Instagram, Alyssa shared a video detailing the different stages of Zen’s life.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “It’s a painful reminder…I caught myself looking in the backseat as I was driving only to see the mirror no longer reflecting your perfect face back at me.”
The emotional investment that Alyssa had put in trying to make Zen feel better ultimately took his toll on her. And now with the realisation that her efforts were not enough, it is understandable that her mental health is suffering.
Not only that, but Nick is also struggling to come to terms with things which is why the talk show host has continued to throw himself into work. This absence of ‘company’ has now become even more noticeable.
She added: “The silence is deafening. These last 5 months we have been in this race together. We would hand the baton off to each other. You kept me going.”
Nevertheless, her supporters came out to show that they would be there for her thick and thin. Although that is not going to bring Zen back, what it does show is that she needs a support network in place to make sure that she can bounce back from this.
There is nothing to say that Alyssa cannot have any further children in the future, but in the meantime, she should continue to stay healthy and focus on her wellbeing.
Given that Alyssa has managed to stay strong even after what she has been through, it shows she has the capacity to come back stronger.
