Alexis Ohanian has spoken on the relationship dynamics inside his marriage with Serena Williams.
Alexis Ohanian Happy To Play Second Fiddle To Serena Williams
Serena may get all the headlines, which is understandable, as she is a tennis all-time great. But not much is known about Alexis. In fact, he was one of the co-founders of Reddit. That is certainly not a bad thing to have your resume, and by the looks of it, this is only the start. In a post to his fans on Instagram, he outlined his ultimate ambitions.
He said: “I’ll be a self-made billionaire one day, and most people will still know me as Serena’s husband (or Olympia’s dad), and that’s fine by me. TBH I’m hoping to be known as ‘@olympiaohanian’s papa.'” However, his desire is not just to make big bucks. He wanted to settle down and have a family. Through the birth of their daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, they have managed to do just that.
While she seems on course for a tennis career, if things go right, that has not stopped Alexis from enjoying every precious moment with her. In a prior post to his fans on Instagram, he marvelled at the birth of his daughter. He revealed: “Celebrating these two women every day. Trying to use my power, platform, and privilege to open doors that’ll be the legacy I leave this Boss Baby. That’s why @776fund is gonna be my life’s work.”
Despite the happiness on the surface, Serena has admitted to going through some difficulties. They both work in highly intensive jobs, and Serena’s life in the public eye has not helped things. She was recently accused of cheating at the Australian Open for receiving coaching on court. But through all of her problems, Alexis stood by her.
In a previous interview, she said: “Marriage is not bliss. But it can be if you work at it. A dealbreaker for me in a relationship is definitely loyalty. Well, not having it, that is.” There is plenty of time left for the couple to write their name in history. After all, Serena is still active in tennis. And who knows, Alexis may become a billionaire one day.
