Alec Baldwin is apparently having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that the cat it out of the bag. The Hollywood actor told an Instagram follower to “go f**k yourself” amid his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s fake Spanish accent controversy.
This comes after the former yoga instructor admitted in an Instagram live that she was actually born in Boston and not in Mallorca, as was previously stated, and that her real name is Hilary and not Hillary.
Alec decided to share a quote about truth amid all of the claims about Hilaria and how she might have falsely claimed to be of Spanish heritage and background. “A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes,” the quote reads.
Alec Baldwin Is Having A Meltdown On Instagram Over Wife Hilaria Baldwin’s Fake Spanish Accent Allegations
In response to the post, Instagram user @Bmimbaugh wrote, “Like your wife being Spanish when she lived In Massachusetts her entire life. I take it her accent is fake as well ? FRAUDS!”
Alec responded, “Go f**k yourself.”
While Hilaria herself didn’t clarify who she is or why she changed her name and decided to put on a Spanish accent, she did post on Instagram, “I’ve seen chatter online questioning my identity and culture. This is something I take very seriously, and for those who are asking— I’ll reiterate my story, as I’ve done many times before. I was born in Boston and grew up spending time with my family between Massachusetts and Spain. My parents and sibling live in Spain and I chose to live here, in the USA. We celebrate both cultures in our home—Alec and I are raising our children bilingual, just as I was raised. This is very important to me. I understand that my story is a little different, but it is mine, and I’m very proud of it.”
So far Hilaria has not made any additional comments about the controversy but did say that she was planning on taking a break from social media.
