ABC ‘The Bachelor’ spoilers finds that we have heard a lot from Colton Underwood lately and there is even more! Not only has Colton gotten better from having the Coronavirus, his new book, The First Time: Finding Myself and Looking for Love on Reality TV, and his contract with the show ending for good. This could be the reason that he is really opening up during the quarantine. He is now speaking out about how being on the show completely changed his mental health.
Colton has opened up to fans everywhere about his time on the Bachelor. He said, “I always knew the control I was giving up by going on a reality TV show of my life, but I didn’t know how it was going to affect me mentally. I’m still dealing with PTSD. I haven’t been able to watch any ‘Bachelor’ shows since I’ve been off my season. I’m not trying to write this book to expose anybody or take anybody down. I just wanted to share my side of things.”

There was a lot that happened on his season of the show. He was the most famous virgin on television at the time and that was the big highlight of the show for so long. How could a person let it be all right for a show to talk about their virginity as it was the main topic of the show? He had a lot of struggles with his sexuality and many viewers were confused on why he did decide to wait. “I internalised a lot of my struggle. I always has a hard time on ‘The Bachelor’ articulating my reasons why I wanted to wait.”
Part of his PTSD from the Bachelor is having his life all over the world. People follow him on social media and he says that sometimes it gets rough. He and his girlfriend, Cassie Randolph, both have to deal with having their lives in the spotlight and being celebrities now. He said, “We still struggle sometimes to deal with it.” These two went from complete, normal, unknown people to being in the limelight of being on a reality television show;it is a lot to take in and deal with.
Colton said he is very grateful for the show because his life and relationship wouldn’t be what they are today had he not done the show. We are so glad that Colton continues to open up with fans on his life and love. We are also happy that he is getting healthier from the coronavirus.
