ABC ‘The Bachelor’ spoilers finds that The Black Lives Matter movement is bringing a lot out in people and celebrities are a huge part of this. Last week, there was a lot of drama between a couple of former Bachelor Nation stars. Garrett Yriogoyen made some statements about how he does support cops during this time and Bekah Martinez called him out on Instagram. The two went at it for quite some time. Recently, Garrett’s fiance, Becca Kufrin decided to speak out with Rachel Lindsay.
ABC ‘The Bachelor’ Spoilers: Bachelor Happy Hour
On the podcast, Bachelor Happy Hour, Becca told fans exactly how she was feeling about Garrett’s words. “Garrett is my fiance and I love him to his core, I believe that he is a good person. When he posted…I don’t align with and I don’t agree with. I don’t think he meant it in a malicious way, I do think it was tone deaf and it was the wrong time and message and sentiment… I’m trying to get him to see the bigger picture.”

ABC ‘The Bachelor’ Spoilers: Becca Kurfin Defends Her Fiance, Garrett Yrigoven
The picture in question that Garrett posted was captioned, “stand by the cops too.” This is not the first time that Garrett has gotten backlash over his social media posts. He posted mocking some LGBTQ matters in 2018, but apologized immediately after doing so.
Lindsay told podcast listeners, “Nothing that I’m about to say is nothing I haven’t already told you. Becca told me not to hold back..As a black woman, it is very important for me to tell you how Garrett’s post made me feel. This is not an isolated accident with Garrett’s behavior and I never spoke about what Garrett did during your season. I never spoke about it and it was out of respect for you and your relationship…To me, this is what Garrett thinks, this is what Garrett is. He posted a black box. He never said, ‘black lives matter.'”
Lindsay continued, “He posted fists of every color, which to me is like, ‘Everybody, all lives.’ And then the very next post is the thin blue line with a heartfelt, thought-out caption that he said with his chest. And to me, that is what you feel and that is what you believe. I don’t think Garrett is malicious, but Garrett is what the problem is.” Kufrin continued to tell her followers that she knows his post was not meant to be malicious in any way. We will let his followers determine what they think he meant with his posts.
