ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate the war between Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) is far from over. With both of the parties making big mistakes, the outcome might come down to one person. Here’s what you need to know.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Why he’s awesome
First, let’s talk about why we like Cyrus so much. We’ll admit to being a bit biased with the actor, as we liked him on Sons of Anarchy. But on GH, Kober has proven he’s got great chemistry with most of the cast. Scenes where he faces off with Laura Webber (Genie Francis), Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) and Sonny are gripping. Plus, he’s got this great humor that works its way into any situation. We think he could be a great foil for these characters for some time to come.
Thursday’s episode was a great example of that. We loved watching him strut over to Carly and Laura to invite them to a house warming like nothing was wrong. It shows he’s got nerve, yet Laura and Carly’s back-handed comments (especially when Carly said he knows the coffee warehouse address) show he’s got a cool head and a sense of humor. It really almost feels like he gets a kick out of their disdain. He’s definitely been a bit of a challenge for Sonny lately. But it looks like they’re both making mistakes.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Errors all around
First off, Sonny showed a total lapse in judgement. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate he bought into Cyrus’ “I’ll behave” thing, and actually thought he was going to catch his adversary unaware. But Renault quickly proved that wasn’t the case. He’s already plotting the demise of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) as a way to weaken Sonny. But what about Cyrus?
His plan to use Jordan’s son to get his freedom seemed smart. It definitely worked. However, he did end up having the commissioner help him in one of his crimes. And he left her badly-beaten son at the hospital where he could easily talk about his kidnapping. The smartest move would be to leave T.J. Ashford (Tajh Bellow) unharmed. Jordan knew him well enough to know what he’s capable of. Just that alone would likely be enough to get her compliance.
The other smart thing would have been to get T.J.’s cooperation as well. Make sure Jordan was on board with keeping T.J. quiet. We’re sure she could’ve figured out a way to get him to sell a story of needing a little space. The way things stand now, he’s got a loose end out there and someone’s on the trail.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The game changer?
Recently, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) got details of the kidnapping that have him hot on the trail. His investigation so far has left him wondering. On Thursday, he told Jordan about his investigation so far and intimated that without a ransom demand, it was about power. And who has power and is close to T.J.? Yep. Jordan. And he looks ready to follow that trail. This could very well expose both Jordan and Cyrus.
Our guess on what would be next is Jordan finding some way to keep Mac quiet. It’s really her only option if she wants to keep her acts under the radar still. But we honestly don’t see her going that far. That means she’s very likely going to have some trouble in the future. And we’re looking forward to seeing how the writers work it all out.
