Jon Voight has taken to twitter to lead what can only be described as The Butthurt Brigade in denying Biden’s Presidential Win. President 45 has not only not conceded yet but it looks like he has no plans to concede.
And his current head enabler, General Pompeo says that there will be a smooth transition to a ‘second Trump term’, excuse me sir but the numbers do not lie, there was no evidence of voter fraud, except for maybe that USPS employee that the GOP in Pennsylvania paid $130K to, to allege that there was voter fraud, and he has since come forward and recanted his story so no one can use that.
Really, Jon?
Jon Voight is now spreading the conservative Christian rhetoric that Trump’s victory should be considered a victory for Christ and we have to fight for him because it is a battle against Satan. I don’t know about you but heavily Catholic Joe Biden never really struck me as the Master of the Underworld itself. If Jon Voight wants to get biblical then let’s do so, shall we?
Jesus said “Whatsoever ye have done to the least of these, ye have done to me.” By the least of these, he means the poor, the disabled, the disadvantaged, and all of those children of His with brown skin that the entire GOP seems to enjoy scapegoating.
Maybe we’re reading different bibles but the one I read said that it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven.
Maybe Mr. Voight should think about that before he advocates for installing a man into office that has said he would wipe out healthcare protection for those with pre-existing conditions, a lot of those people would be the poor, disabled, and disadvantaged that Jesus talked about… I didn’t see the verse about the rich, overpriveleged white guy in there anywhere.
Oh wait, there is the tale of the rich man and a poor beggar named Lazarus. The rich man was very cruel to Lazarus in life and wouldn’t even give him scraps from his table to eat, only the rich man’s dogs were kind to Lazarus, they came and licked his sores.
Lazarus died a very poor, sick man. However, what goes around comes around, when it came time to enter the afterlife, the rich man was cast down into Hell but when he looked up, he could see heaven, and it in it, was the man that he had been so cruel to in life, living it up eternally, being happy.
He called out to him and asked for a drop of water to cool his tongue, but Abraham, who was with Lazarus said that while the rich man received his good things in life, it was Lazarus’s turn now, and that try as he might, Lazarus could not cross over the chasm to hell and help him.
Voight says that the promises of The Left will never be fulfilled, but we won’t ever know unless we give the President Elect the chance to enact them, that means that the current president, at some point, has to allow the transition to begin.
Obama did it before him, and the American people have a right to a peaceful transition. What Voight and other people like him are advocating for is another civil war and no one wants or needs that, not over a presidential election. Let the rule of law prevail and don’t bring religion into this, we all know that it’s not about religion, it’s about control.
It’s about control of the ‘othered’. Well, I’m sorry to say, Mr. Voight, but speaking as a Christian myself, the good book is on the side of ‘the othered’ in this case, and you need to have several seats. Don’t tout this as a religious victory when there is no religious persecution going on in our country, literally no one has prevented anyone from practicing their faith, or lack thereof, in any way.
This is not a Chrisitian victory, God loves all his children, no matter their political affiliations, fighting for a man who doesn’t walk the walk and doesn’t even talk the talk half the time isn’t going to get you into the good place any faster.
People like Voight cry all the time about wanting ‘their America’ back. Well, we got it for you, now let the transition happen so that the rest of us can have a piece too.
