Netflix’s ‘The Midnight Sky’ not only stars George Clooney, but he also directs this adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton’s acclaimed novel ‘Good Morning, Midnight’. Clooney plays a lonely scientist in the Arctic as he tries to reach Sully and her fellow crew from returning to Earth as there’s been a mysterious global catastrophe.

The film looks frightening, beautiful, and heartbreaking and from the trailer what we’re concerned with the most is the little girl with Clooney. He’s forced to take her along on a trip to find another antenna big enough to contact Sully. Will he lose her, does she die? The trailer makes us anxious, but let’s hope for the best.

Take a look at the thrilling trailer below that was uploaded with the following description,

“This post-apocalyptic tale follows Augustine (George Clooney), a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to stop Sully (Felicity Jones) and her fellow astronauts from returning home to Earth, where a mysterious global catastrophe has taken place. Clooney directs the adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton’s acclaimed novel Good Morning, Midnight, co-starring David Oyelowo, Kyle Chandler, Demián Bichir and Tiffany Boone. Coming to Netflix December 23rd.”

Viewers are anxious about this film, commenting, “I’ll be adding this to my queue!”, “The movie Sunshine but we actually get to see what’s happening on earth. Ok.”, “If that little girl isn’t a figment of George Clooney’s imagination and is real and alive then that would be a plot twist!” and “Excited for this one ?”.

I’m excited and scared to watch the final film, it looks so good, but heartbreaking.

Netflix’s ‘The Midnight Sky’ releases on December 23.
