British Royal Family News suggests that Kate Middleton might be taking a page out of her sister-in-law Meghan Markle’s fashion rule book as apparently she is looking more and more like the Duchess of Sussex every day. Even though the Duchess of Cambridge is someone who doesn’t like to break the rules and almost always adheres to royal protocol, many fans have noticed a significant change in the way she dresses. Here’s what you need to know.
This past week Prince William’s wife was spotted wearing something that she often doesn’t wear, but Meghan Markle is a huge fan of: the power paintsuit. Along with Prince William, Kate Middleton joined British broadcaster and journalist Kate Garraway for the Pride of Britain Awards in London.
British Royal Family News: Kate Middleton Is Looking More And More Like Meghan Markle Everyday
While the Duchess is a huge fan of wearing coat dresses, this time around she wore a tailed blue suit paired with a light blue button-down. Of course, this isn’t the first time that Kate has been spotted wearing a pantsuit in recent weeks. She also appeared in a video shot at London’s Natural History Museum in a black suit by McQueen, the designer behind her fairy tale wedding dress.
As many royal fans can recall, the Duchess of Sussex often wore pantsuits during her royal engagements and public appearances while she and Prince Harry were still working royals in London.
A source close to the former Hollywood actress says that Meghan liked to dress a little differently because she “found certain rules in the royal household difficult to understand, like the fact that the Queen prefers women in dresses or skirts rather than trouser suits, and is often asking Harry why things have to be done in a certain way.” So, could this mean that Meghan might have inspired Kate to fall in love with pantsuits? Possibly so!
