Even though it’s been about four years since the last time Piers and Meghan even spoke to each other, the Good Morning Britain host sure has a lot to say about her, her marriage to Prince Harry, and how she might have orchestrated the couple’s ‘Megxit’ from the royal family.
British Royal Family News: Piers Morgan Denies Obsession With Meghan Markle
Speaking to Express.co.uk Piers says that while he believes that Meghan is a “ruthless social climber” who is always determined to get what she wants, he thinks that the world has had enough of her and Prince Harry being in the headlines all the time.
He said, “I think along with Donald Trump, Brexit and coronavirus, the Sussexes have made themselves one of the biggest news stories in the last three years and they don’t want to be left alone. So I don’t really understand the criticism; I’m a columnist, I’m on TV every morning, I’m on Twitter all the time, obviously they are the fourth biggest story of the past three years so obviously I’m going to be commenting about it.”
Piers added, “And because of my own knowledge about Meghan Markle and previous, what I assumed was, friendship has given me a bit of an insight into what she is like.”
But when asked if he has an obsession with the Duchess of Sussex, Piers answered with, “I don’t have any obsession with her.”
