Some people called it young love, others called it a PR stunt, but for Timotee Chalamet, he calls it an absolutely awkward and embarrassing moment that he would like for the rest of us to forget.
The Hollywood actor, who is best known for his role in the hit film Call Me By Your Name, recently opened up about his embarrassing PDA photos that were taken with his ex-girlfriend Lily-Rose Depp on a yacht last year. Here’s what he has to say.
Timothee Chalamet Really Regrets His PDA Photos With Lily-Rose Depp
Speaking to GQ in a new interview, the handsome actor says that he certainly wasn’t fond of the photos that were taken of him and Lily-Rose getting very up close and personal while vacationing on a yacht. And while the two of them were definitely “in the moment,” a lot of fans and critics who saw the photos couldn’t tell who was Timothee and who was Lily-Rose Depp.
Recalling that day, Timothee told the publication, “I went to bed that night thinking that was one of the best days of my life. I was on this boat all day with someone I really loved, and closing my eyes, I was like, indisputably, ‘That was great.’”
Unfortunately, everything changed for him when he woke up the next morning and saw the humiliating photos all over the internet. And while there were some people who believed that their PDA session was a PR stunt, Timothee says that wasn’t the case at all.
“Then waking up to all these pictures, and feeling embarrassed, and looking like a real nob? All pale?” he said, adding, “And then people are like, ‘This is a PR stunt.’ A PR stunt?! Do you think I’d want to look like that in front of all of you?”
