CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show the while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) can be a little reckless, he has no fear. Especially when it means standing toe to toe with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Billy has been building up to be one of the next big names in Genoa City and the show as a whole. For decades, we saw Victor pitted against Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), now it looks like it’s time for Billy to take that role. Billy is perfectly described by a quote from Batman ’89, “You wanna get nuts? Let’s get nuts”.

I’ve been really excited to watch Billy’s character over the last few months and it looks like he’s ready to take that step up. The Newman’s have gotten a bit comfortable in recent memory, though now Billy’s not afraid to shake things up and do what it takes to bring them down.

Is it a personal vendetta? Yes. Is it fun and amazing to watch? Yes. Do I want to see Billy rise in the ranks? Absolutely. Of the talented cast on the show, I think Jason Thompson is best equipped to take over a powerhouse role like Peter Bergman or Victor Newman. Now with a huge media company under him, he could start taking over the city, and even Newman Enterprises with it. He could very well be the future of the show.

What do you think? Is Billy going to become Genoa City’s next big thing? Let us know in the comments below.
