CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that there’s a holy trinity on the show. That trinity consists of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). However, it almost feels like Jack has been limited to a secondary or tertiary character and we have something to say about that.

While time marches on, and the show is going to be passed down to the next generation, Jack Abbott is still killing it when he gets the chance. Bergman still has the ability to steal a scene and can act his butt off, so shouldn’t they be utilizing him more while they have him?

I’m a big fan of Jack myself, and while he has a storied past, the guy seems so genuine, especially to the younger characters on the show. Perhaps the most interesting part of Jack’s character is that he’s alone and they could do a great storyline on his search for a partner and the idea of being alone.

Loneliness has caused a lot of bad things, and while Jack has his friends and family, it’s this one on one connection, in particular, that could really make Jack stand out as a character now, even after decades of storytelling. There’s still an interesting story left in this character and they should make it happen.
