Harry and Meghan appeared in a video last week calling on American voters to “reject hate speech, misinformation, and online negativity,” in what they call the “most important election of our time.” As many royal fans and critics know, members of the monarchy are supposed to remain neutral, especially when it comes to politics. In fact, Queen Elizabeth does not like it one bit whenever the royals mix with politicians, unless, of course, it’s for a state visit.
Of course, it didn’t take very long for many British royal family fans and critics to respond to the news. Many commented on the situation with, “Harry is without honor. When he decided to follow Meghan’s lead and go rogue, he should have renounced his title at that point and fly solo.
At the time of Megxit he pledged as a condition of the deal to honor the Queen’s values He has broken the terms of the deal which should mean the deal is off the table.”
Another critics wrote, “If the Royal Family continues to do nothing because Charles strongly supports these two then vote Charles off and do not accept him as the next King. If they want to save the monarchy they need to remove those two off the line of succession as well as removing ALL their titles permanently. No calling them Duke or Duchess anymore.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the ordeal, although at this point it’s unlikely that anything will be said. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, for their part, have not said whether or not they will continue to speak out about the 2020 Presidential Election or if they will stay loyal to the Queen.
