The road to SummerSlam will continue tonight as SmackDown airs from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. Some of the biggest matches from the blue brand have already been announced, but tonight we will learn who will be challenging Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at one of the biggest shows of the year.
As well as that, the story between Braun Strowman and The Fiend is set to continue, while the singles run for Big E will continue with a match against John Morrison. But, what could potentially happen in two of the most exciting segments that are taking place tonight on SmackDown?
WWE News: Strowman To Address Bray Wyatt
Braun Strowman has been engaged in mind games with Bray Wyatt for the last couple of months, and it would seem as though Wyatt has the upper hand. The Fiend has recently been using Alexa Bliss to get into the head of Strowman, and this week, fans will see Strowman respond to what Wyatt has been saying over the past couple of weeks.
Strowman was seen for the first time since Extreme Rules last week as he appeared via video link, but this week, we are expecting to see the Universal Champion address
The Fiend from the PC. It will be intriguing to see what will happen next in this story, as Bliss could continue to stay involved as an interview with the former Raw and SmackDown Women’s champion will also air during the broadcast.
WWE News: Battle Royal For SmackDown Title Opportunity
The biggest match to take place on the card tonight will see the challenger for Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship decided. There will be a cross-brand battle royal to decide that, with women from Raw, SmackDown and NXT involved in the match.
The WWE have been able to keep a tight lid on the participants for the match, which means anyone on any of the three rosters could be a challenger.
The front runners would likely be Rhea Ripley, Shayna Baszler and Naomi. Meanwhile, Nikki Cross may also be among the superstars that compete in this match for an extended period of time.
There could yet be a screwy finish in the match, which will be planned by Sasha Banks and Bayley. However, fans should also anticipate a shock return, with a number of rumours already doing the rounds online.
