‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers relate that Kristoff St. John’s character Neil Winters delivered plenty of drama on The Young and the Restless and it looks like the same can be said about the late actor and his personal life, too. As a matter of fact, there is a new report that says Kristoff’s ex-wife Mia St. John is currently reviewing her legal options, as she claims that the hospital did not properly treat the actor’s illness while he was still alive.

Kristoff was found dead inside his home back in January. Mia claims that Kristoff was hospitalized before his death and that he had unfortunately slipped into a deep depression and had even threatened suicide. He was also self-medicating through alcohol. Kristoff and St. John were married from 1991 to 1995.

In an interview with The Blast, Mia claims that an intervention was staged with some of Kristoff’s The Young and the Restless co-stars. It didn’t work right away, but eventually he did agree to get help. He checked himself in at a Los Angeles area hospital, where Mia asked doctors to plays him on a 5250 hold.
Mia also told the publication that during Kristoff’s stay in the hospital, she checked on him several times. On February 1stshe called the hospital and was told that he was released and sent home. Mia says that Kristoff was still very heartbroken over the death of their son Julian, who died back in 2014. She said that he slipped into a “very dark place” following the anniversary of their son’s death.
Seeing how Kristoff was supposed to be in the hospital for a minimum of two weeks, Mia is now weighing her legal options as she feels as though he was not properly treated by the medical staff.
