ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal we took another look back as JaSam week came to a close. We couldn’t resist. After all, the episode had left off with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) getting married on a whim to avoid Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) big event. We just had to see what came next. But there was so much more than we realized ahead in the following episode. Let’s take a look.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The outcast
First, we want to take a brief moment to talk about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). He wanted to go to the JaSam wedding, but apparently, he’d burned a lot of bridges at the time. We almost headdesked hard core at his solution to not coming solo to the big day.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal he’d approached an ex, Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) to see if she’d come with him to the event. She did not take that well. To start, we couldn’t even when she pointed out she’d been shot in that same church only a few years ago. Sonny’s stumbling over how there’d be lots of security was a glimpse into a more vulnerable character we don’t get to see very often. And also a completely clueless, awkward version. Why he thought that was a good idea, we don’t know. We loved watching her call him out for coming to ask just because no one else will have anything to do with him. That and her scene with Lulu Spencer (Julie Marie Berman) showed what a tough, fun character she can be. We’d love to see more of her and will probably be in search of more episodes soon.

However, as much as we enjoyed all that, there was one reason we just had to see what came next. And it’s all about Maxie. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal she’d been her typical self the previous episode, forcing JaSam to find refuge from the quest for perfection. We got a laugh out of watching Jason appear almost afraid to answer Maxie’s call, and he had every reason to be. Maxie had a complete panic when she saw nothing was there, including the bride and groom. She didn’t even give Jason a chance to explain anything. She just cut in to demand they get there immediately.

Eventually, JaSam made it to the church and gave their guests a scare when they said there wouldn’t be a wedding that day. However, everyone calmed down when they explained the elopement and invited everyone to the place they got married for a reception. Everyone was so happy they’d tied the knot, no one was too upset about getting left out. Even Maxie acknowledged the way they did it (and the improvised reception) was more JaSam’s style. Although, we’re still waiting for her to give some grief over seeing Sam gave those boots away…
As a side note, it was great to see the scenes with Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough), Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson), and Jason. It showed a sweet, deep bond between her and Jason that survived despite the fact they’re both in love with/married to other people. She cared enough about Jason as a friend to fight for her and Patrick to support him on his big day. And Patrick loved Robin enough to put aside his feelings about the wedding/Sonny’s presence to go along.

However ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal this episode brought new mysteries out. Like how a stalker who clearly found a way to spy from afar is the reason for Sam’s missing wedding dress and all the other things that had Maxie in a panic. It also led to a sharp contrast we want to see the follow up to, as well.
While Lulu was busy preparing for a dinner to accept Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) proposal, Dante was on a case. And he had a gun pointed at his back. The weapon firing coincided with Lulu uncorking a bottle for a celebration she has no idea probably won’t happen that night.
