Food Network host John Henson learned this the hard way after the First Lady of the United States of America slammed him for daring to even mention Barron’s name in a Father’s Day post that was supposed to come out humorous. Here’s what you need to know.
Henson said in his post, “I hope Barron gets to spend today with whoever his dad is.” Needless to say, it didn’t take long for the White House to react. According to Page Six, Melania Trump shot back at John Henson for making “inappropriate and insensitive” comments on Father’s Day weekend. He questioned whether or not President Donald Trump was indeed Barron’s biological son.

“Sadly we continue to see inappropriate and insensitive comments about the President’s son,” said Stephanie Grisham, chief of staff and spokeswoman for the first lady said in a statement to the press. “As with every other administration, a minor child should be off-limits and allowed to grow up with no judgment or hate from strangers and the media,” the statement continued.
Following the backlash that he received both from the First Lady and many Twitter uses over the weekend, Henson tried to walk back on his comments, but it might have been a little too late for him. “The joke was aimed at Trump and the mere mention of Barron’s name doesn’t mean it’s at his expense,” he wrote. “Although I respect your right to take issue with it.”
In other news, many TikTok users have started a ‘Free Barron Trump’ movement after it was discovered that he is – believe it or not – just another kid who happens to be living in The White House. In addition to his Roblox account name being discovered, it’s also come to light that Barron is a thoughtful and polite teen who speaks Spanish, likes K-Pop and anime.
