Yesterday, youtuber Jake Paul was charged with criminal trespassing and unlawful assembly by the Scottsdale authorities after being in Scottsdale’s Fashion Square Mall after closing time when a bunch of rioters broke in and started looting the place. Jake claims that he or his gang never took part in the looting and they were just there expressing their outrage for injustice, but the proof is in the pudding and there seems to be a lot of this proof floating around. Hundreds of users sent in footage to the Scottsdale authorities showing Jake Paul accepting a stolen bottle of liquor from a looter. This footage makes his statement a lie. Not only that but a twitter user stepped forward to say that Jake was trying to break a window of a car inside the mall and hyping other looters up (the latter of which can clearly be seen on video). So Jake is clearly lying.

Jake Paul Lying About Not Being There For Looting? Logan Paul Speaks Out
His brother Logan Paul has stepped forward on his podcast saying that while Jake is his brother and that he loves him, he doesn’t always like him. “Sometimes I do not understand why he does the things he does.” I think that speaks for the majority of us. He went on to say that he had no idea why Jake would be inside a mall that was being looted, He said that Jake told him originally he was at a dinner that was at a place next to the mall. He said that while it’s unfortunate that Jake was there, it’s also very “on-brand” for him to be at a place where looting is happening. Excuse me while I roll my eyes so hard it hurts.

Logan still displays some loyalty to his brother, however, he says that anyone who thinks that Jake was actively participating in looting was “morons”, which caused a lot of fans to automatically disagree with him, and they’re right. I don’t see how everyone with eyes can be morons, and the majority of this behavior was caught on camera so it’s not like he has anything to hide behind. One of Logan’s co-hosts posed an excellent question if there hadn’t been any looting going on at the mall, then would Jake still have been there with his camera crew? It begs the question of why he was there if his intention was not to participate in the looting. It looks like if Jake is going to be destructive rather than productive, then he just needs to sit down, shut up, and press the donate button. This cause doesn’t need any more violence dedicated to it. There are better ways to express outrage when you have a platform such as Jake Paul’s.
