She has revealed in an exclusive interview with the Metro that she was shocked to have got the call to host the job.
Unfortunately for the Love Island star, the job has been put on hold for a number of months due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, she revealed that she was delighted that she wasn’t stranded in New York, as she has been able to spend the period in lockdown with her husband Alex Bowen. The couple have gone from strength to strength since Love Island, and tied the knot last year.
Love Island News: No Details About The Presenting Job Revealed
At present, fans know very little about the presenting job that Buckland is going to the USA to film. She has become a huge star since leaving the reality show, and fans always expecting her to branch out into presenting work. Buckland revealed in the interview that she was set to be in New York for two months to film the show, but that has been pushed back.
She refused to give much away regarding what the work will be. However, she did reveal that it was a huge career opportunity and she is hoping that it will still go ahead in the future. Fans will have no doubt that she will excel when given the platform, and this could be the beginning of a fresh new career for Buckland.

Alex and Olivia have also been talking to Cosmopolitan over the past week about their routine during lockdown. Olivia revealed during the interview that she has been working out more often throughout this period. As for what they have been watching through the period, Alex revealed that he has been hooked on Gotham.
He revealed in the interview that he has been making Olivia watch it with him. They also revealed that they have been re-watching Ozark ahead of dipping their toes into the third season. Fans of Love Island have been spending their time in lockdown re-watching previous seasons of the show. The summer season was due to begin next week, but the cancellation means that will no longer happen.
