Love Island news finds that fans were in mourning on Wednesday morning as it has been revealed that two stars from the winter series of the show have split up. Ched Uzor made the announcement on the Secure The Insecure podcast. The revelation means that Ched and Jess Gale are the first couple from the finalists of the winter edition to split up.
The news would have come as a shock to fans as Jess revealed last month that they weren’t putting any pressure on their relationship. She also revealed that they were still very much together, but didn’t want to become boyfriend and girlfriend. It hasn’t been revealed which of the stars ended it, but Ched admitted that the current lockdown has played a part.

Jess entered the Love Island villa with her twin sister back in the winter, but nobody could have foreseen that she would have lasted as long in there without her sister. Fortunately, she was able to find love while in the villa as she was introduced to Ched mid-way through. Their connection was immediate, and they instantly became one of the favourites.
Viewers enjoying seeing Jess in a new light, after she was embroiled in the middle of the storm between Luke and Mike for her affections before Ched entered the villa. However, any chance of Mike coupling up with Jess was ended after he was introduced to new women at Casa Amor. However, Jess didn’t seem to mind as she had formed an immediate connection with Ched.
Love Island News: Ched Leaves The Door Open
Fans would have been disappointed that they have broken up, but Ched also admitted that he still has love and affection for Jess. He revealed that they are still in communication every day but admitted that spending the time apart put a strain on their relationship.
However, there could still be hope that the two may eventually end up back together, as Ched revealed that they will speak to each other face to face when the lockdown is lifted.
