In an Instagram post from Saturday, February 9, Gilles Marini shared news about his neighbor and very good friend passing away Marini said:
RIP. This is my good friend and Neighbor who just passed away. It was with a very heavy heart that I said my last good bye yesterday. I had the honor to spend a lot of time with him; countless hours spent talking about old movies, life and doctor appointments. Your 30-something stair climb with your wheelchair was always an adventure. You were denied dignity these past few years and I don’t know if I can ever forgive those responsible. I wish I could have done more. Death can be so lonely. Please people, take care of your parents until the end. I’m torn— I was washing you and I was a stranger in your life. You will always have a special place in my heart. Thank God I was given the gift of taking care of my father and the gift of you being in my life, S.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Marini and his neighbor’s family. Marini can at least take solace that his very good friend is somewhere better right now but we understand this is a difficult time for the DOOL star.
