The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, February 8threveals that Nikki is going to do whatever it takes to save her family, while Abby has a new plan in mind. ‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: February 8 Recap – Nikki Rescues the Day
It begins with Sharon (Sharon Case) urging the other women to come clean about the secret they’ve been hiding about JT Hellstrom’s (Thad Luckinbill) death. She suggests to Nikki (Melody Scott Thomas), Phyllis (Gina Tognoli) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that they all come together and admit that Nikki killed JT in self-defense. This will not only help Victor (Eric Braeden) in his case, but everyone else involved in this ongoing murder mystery, too.

If there is one person who doesn’t think it’s a good idea, it’s Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). He thinks it’s too much of a risk. His sister Abby (Melissa Ordway) has another plan in mind, though. She tells Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) that she thinks she can help change the story and hopefully get everyone in Genoa City to back her father. She tells Arturo that she wants to have a lavish wedding in order to get the media and the public to take the focus off of the murder trial. What’s more, Abby and Arturo’s wedding might help put a better light on Victor. She even thinks that having a lavish wedding shoot with her father by her side will help his reputation. Arturo agrees.
‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers indicate that in an awkward scene, Mia Rosales(Noemi Gonzalez) stops by to offer her help. She can’t help but notice Abby’s odd facial expression, tells her that she has been looking puffy lately and suggests a face cream to help with her supposed skin problem.
Back at the Newman Ranch, Victor is feeling less that positive about his trial and his future for that matter. It’s clear that someone is trying to frame him but what bothers him is that he has no idea who it is. But instead of letting Nikki take the bait, he is willing to spend the remaining years of his life behind bars, even if it’s for a crime that he didn’t commit. After all, he’s the head of the Newman family and it is his job to protect his loved ones. He tells his son Nick to look after Newman Enterprises, should anything happen to him.

In the final scene, a visibly distraught Nikki can’t handle the stress of what’s going on. When Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) escort Victor to his hearing, Nikki unexpectedly steps in. She’s not going to let him go to trial, let alone go down for a crime that she committed with her own hands.
