‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers impart that CBS is recasting for the role of Adam Newman. Last we heard from Adam, he supposedly died in an explosion and that was the last that we heard anything from him. In the soap world, however, the characters aren’t ever dead until there is 100% proof, and even then. Y&R has changed writers, with Mal Young’s recent exit as confirmed by Daily Soap Dish, and now the Adam storyline has resurfaced.

There is a casting call for Adam Newman. There’s also word that Y&R will be cutting out some of their cast members. It may take some time for the new Adam to come about, but Adam’s comeback is on its way. We are thinking that the Adam Newman returns angle will become prominent once the J.T. story arch comes to an end. Right now, the news is for a recast, but not any returning actor. Michael Muhney was not going to take the role either. Y&R spoilers say it’s going to be a brand-new face.
Whoever comes on to Y&R to play the role of Adam will be in a fantastic position to carry the show going forward. The question remains, how is Adam coming back and what storyline will the powers that be in the writing booth give him in that regard. There will probably be other characters introduced that as well may be included in Adam’s hiatus from Genoa City.

It will be very interesting to see what the writers have in store for us and Adam’s character this time. It has been two long years without Adam, and we hope this time he’s going to be staying in Genoa City. There has been some speculation on Chelsea and her whereabouts too. Is she the one who has been keeping Adam safe and away from Victor? Everyone knows that she is not a fan of Victor, so maybe there is some sort of deeper plot that is going to happen when Adam comes back into town. There are many different scenarios that we’ve come across.
