CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers is here with the final throwback spoiler of the week. This has been a really fun Katherine the Great theme week, and it closes with a fun episode from May 4, 2009 when Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) and Patrick Murphy (Michael Fairman) married. It was an all-star turnout with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) as the best man and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as the maid of honor. And the best part is it went off without much of a bump. Note the much of a bump phrasing choice.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For May 1 Throwback: Jill nearly causes a scene

Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) arrives for the wedding fairly pickled, and after a brief exchange, was tied up and locked in the closet by Nina Webster (Tricia Cast). It’s a fun little moment that reminds us that nothing is ever full proof as she eventually gets loose, thanks to Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bergman). Jill is headed off, though, and saved her trouble for later when she approached Katherine will her full amount of hate and vitriol. It’s a quick scene, but it’s poignant one that sums up their relationship pretty well and shows Katherine’s in a good place that even Jill can’t shake her from it.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For May 1 Throwback: Katherine and Murphy’s Wedding

As far as endings go, this is the perfect way to end the theme week. Nothing is better than seeing Katherine on top at the peak of her life. Sure, there’ll be plenty of fans that may prefer her final episode, or another one all together, and they’re not wrong. We all have our favorite episodes with her, so this is a debate that would never end. We’re all fans, and it shows we’re appreciated by the powers-that-be by sharing these with us. It also brings up the question of what’s in store for next week, but that’ll be coming in the next couple of days.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For May 1 Throwback: Next?

CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers have been saying all week that this has not only given us a chance to relive (or live, if this is our first time seeing Jeanne Cooper in action) Katherine Chancellor’s moments, but it’s shown that fans want more. We want to see these episodes again and again, so maybe it’s time someone somewhere revisits beginning a soap opera channel again so we can see all of our favorite shows from bygone years. Let us see them from the beginning, be taken away by the amazing storylines and actors, and follow the paths of our current favorites as they grow into their positions in Genoa City.

This doesn’t feel like too much to ask, and it’d be a win-win for the shows and fans. What are your thoughts? Let us know which Katherine episode this week was your favorite and would you like to see a new soap opera channel with all the shows on. And remember to check back with CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
