NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Freddie Smith (Sonny Kiriakis) and others are adapting with the times. With productions shut down, and no one able to visit others’ homes, Smith and his Fiancée are managing to keep the guests coming to their podcast. Let’s take a look at the latest episode, with guest Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis, Days/Ned Quartermaine, General Hospital).
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Working it out
The podcast started with Freddie and Alyssa talking about the current situation, and how they’re handling it. Unfortunately for them, they revealed they live in a busy building. That means they haven’t really been outside at all, because there’s not a way to keep your distance. Smith’s also been slacking a bit on the fitness thing, which they joked about a little. But they’re planning to do some online workouts together. Gotta make the best of things and work with what you got, right? This shows those of us who have homes with a yard a bright side. It’s a lot easier to get in touch with nature and get a little sun, as well. After talking a bit about how important the Stay Home thing is, they got down to the fun stuff.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Family
One of the things we enjoy is seeing how close the cast is. Kurth and Smith seemed to genuinely miss each other, and before they closed off, they agreed to get together via video chat soon.
During the chat, Kurth talked about the relationships on set. Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate he really does view his TV children as family, and talked about how much he’s learned from people like John Aniston (Victor Kiriakis) on set. But he also talked about how he gets this great variety on both shows. Not only are they different characters, but he has a son on one series, and a daughter on the other. He also gets different things out of his TV elders on each, too. The extremes he gets to play sound like they’d be fun, and he all but said it’s a great thing for an actor. He also touched on the current situation and what he thinks will happen with the soaps.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Predictions
They definitely addressed the shut down during the episode, and it’s looking a lot different for different shows. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal the show films far ahead, which means they’re still airing new episodes five days a week. And they’ll likely keep doing that. The other shows, however, are already on a four-day schedule to save new content. It’ll be interesting to us to see if this changes how shows film in the future. Especially since it’s been long reported that part of Days’ lag time is a budget-saving thing. We could see some of these shows wondering if they need to make changes going forward.
Next, he talked about what he sees going forward for the ratings. A lot of soaps are enjoying a resurgence right now. But, if those new episodes run out, Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis) is expecting Days’ ratings to get even better, while he expects GH and others to lose viewership going forward if they run out of episodes. It’s like we were talking about during the never-ending preemptions for those hearings. It’s easy to fall out of a habit when a show isn’t on. Some viewers will definitely find other stuff to check out, and might forget to come back. Check out the podcast episode for more, and stay tuned for other guests.
