CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers for April 2 finds that life and death are two constants in this world, but it’s never easy when it happens to us or someone we know. It’s part of the reason storylines like Sharon Newman (Sharon Case)’s are so engrossing. In this case, we’ve been with Sharon through her chemotherapy ordeal as she’s braved the rigors of the treatment with a supportive (sometimes more than she wants) network of friends and family.
But Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) now at the point where she’s waiting to hear from her doctor as to whether or not her treatments are working and her cancer has shrunk enough to be removed surgically or is in complete remission. Then there’s the alternative that she’s also facing where surgery may be the only option.

This is the nightmare many of us have when going to a doctor’s office, but this time she may luck out simply because it’s recently been done in ‘General Hospital’ where a high school boy died. If they go this route, it could be bad for the show given how we’re kinda stuck in our homes and could use some good news. With any luck, the show’s writers had a crystal ball or lucked out and her news is good and she’s free and clear.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For April 2: Elena’s new venture
Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) is looking to spread her wings some, and this has the potential to be a cool side story. While Elena remains largely unknown to us, she’s made a life for herself in Genoa City as a resident in the hospital. This leads ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers to believe that she’s going to join Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) in their endeavor at the clinic. Maybe she’ll even work to open her own, or even takes the steps to eventually open her own private practice. That would be years away, so the clinic would make sense for her in the meantime.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For April 2: Phyllis faces Nikki
Just when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) thinks she has it all and has taken the right steps to further dig her claws into Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), along come mother. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is as protective and feisty a mother as there’s ever been on daytime television. The difference between her and the others is she seems to have settled into her role comfortably and isn’t likely to do anything rash or dangerous.
Note the use of “seems to” and “isn’t likely to” above, because we are in no way saying she’s completely safe when it comes to someone threatening her family. When it comes to a disease like Phyllis, Nikki is the perfect remedy as she’ll go right after Phyllis about hooking back up with Nick. If nothing else, this should be fun as Phyllis will most likely be on her heels under Nikki’s passive but no where near gentle assault. While Phyllis will live, she may not be so quick to challenge Nikki or stick her foot in the door without a head’s up.
