CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that we’re not in Kansas anymore! Yet, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is acting reasonably. Especially considering how bad he wanted the CEO position at Newman Enterprises. However, perhaps his attention has just been swayed to something more important to him. Only time will tell, but for now, let’s enjoy subtle Adam. I doubt he’s genuinely changed, but the time out of Genoa City did him some good!

After they return from Kansas, Adam wants to ask Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) some questions concerning his childhood friend’s father. He gets an answer out of Victor in so many words, but what was especially surprising was his conversation with his parents and brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)! He wanted to bury the hatchet with Victor, they’ve been through worse things and congratulated Nick on running the company, giving him kudos.

This, of course, catches Nick off guard and makes him suspicious. Nick and Victor both believe Adam is up to something and planning his plan of attack to take over Newman. Really though, he wants to ask Victor some questions and find out if he had anything to do with the murder of his friend’s dad. He casually brings up Hope’s farm and how bad of shape it’s in. The caretaker is getting too old to take care of it, and he wants Victor to see if he can do something to help out. Victor tells him he’ll get it taken care of.

Adam then brings up his old school mate and asks if Victor ever met their family on one of his visits. Victor thinks about it and unconvincingly says he doesn’t recall. Adam thinks Victor is playing a game and acting like he doesn’t know them. Adam leaves and wishes for peace between everyone. Nick assumes he’s up to something. What do you think? Is Adam only different because his focus has changed or has he given up his pursuit for the company? Let us know in the comments below.
