‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers pose the question: Were you shocked that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) ordered Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) to kill Stephanie Johnson Kiriakis (Abigail Klein) to protect his secret lab?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ Isn’t an Evil Monster Like His Father, Stefano
Well, color me surprised. I didn’t quite have EJ ordering his mad scientist to kill his PR person, Stephanie, on my bingo card this week.
EJ may have his flaws, but he’s not an evil monster like his father, Stefano DiMera (Joe Mascolo). Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) was quick to point that out when she realized her precious son was wearing Stefano’s coveted Phoenix ring.

That said, Stefano tapped EJ to carry on the DiMera legacy, and we all saw what happened when he put the ring on after Stefano’s memorial.
A spooky, supernatural transfer of power took place in that crypt. Whether EJ wants to admit it or not, he was born to play the role of the villain.

Albeit he’s a devilishly handsome, charming, and often lovable villain. EJ would like to think that since Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) “accidentally” shot her uncle and left him for dead. He awakened from a coma as a “changed man,” he’s somehow reformed; we beg to differ.
In the March 12th episode of DOOL, EJ all but ordered the death of someone he actually cares about, Stephanie. It was weird on so many levels.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Stephanie is a Very Important Person in the Salem Community
As a legacy character, Stephanie is a bona fide heroine and a very important person in the Salem community. Granted, she’s also an erotic novelist, but a lot of people in that town care about her.
Not to mention, a lot of people who EJ loves care about Stephanie. One of them is his beloved brother, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). So, it was a bit jarring to hear EJ basically sign Stephanie’s death warrant today.
EJ may not have any use for Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark), but Stephanie is an entirely different story, and he should really put his energy into eliminating enemies of the DiMera family, not his pretty PR guru.

Dr. Rolf put EJ’s project in jeopardy by hiring the chronically unstable Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey), who has apparently been obsessed with Stephanie for the past sixteen years.
The idea of a grown man that obsessed is beyond weird, considering the two of them never even had a romantic relationship. Shouldn’t this delusional fool have moved on by now?
Yet Owen is convinced he’s madly in love with Stephanie after he was ordered by EJ years ago to kidnap her. Owen defied EJ’s orders and kept Stephanie hidden in a drawer in the morgue. Not exactly the picture of stability.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ Is About to Make Himself Look Ridiculously Guilty
EJ’s past actions are why he’s going to look ridiculously guilty if he actually does harm Stephanie or she “disappears forever” like he wants her to.
If he wants everyone to believe he turned over a new leaf, murdering two innocent people, one of them being a person he supposedly cares about, and who works for him, doesn’t make much sense.

Right now, EJ is trying to fulfill Stefano’s dying wish by bringing the angelic Lexie Carver (then played by Renee Jones, now Nikki Crawford) back to life.
But is EJ all about resurrecting his precious sister, or is this more about the boatload of money he’ll make with this miracle cure?
We heard Paulina Price Carver (Jackee Harry) tell EJ, “Miracles don’t come from the devil.” I typically don’t much care for Paulina, but she does have a point.

And killing Stephanie would signify that EJ is willing to abandon all sense of morality and reason to rake in the big bucks.
Perhaps the only person who can save EJ from turning downright sinister is his mother, Susan Banks, who sometimes serves as his moral compass. I don’t know about you, but I prefer my EJ DiMera with a hint of sweetness in him.
